Infantile Behaviors in Self Control
Irresponsible behaviors or infantile behaviors are childish ways that all humans at some time or another will display. Many people refuse to grow up and leave their childish ways behind them, so they miss the prime of their life.
By developing self-control and personal development one can work to maturity, which this person has the power to use his wisdom and he becomes reliable. Moreover, using his sensible mind he will take responsibility for his actions.
Infantile behaviors often lead to the road of self-destruction. An inexperienced person often engages in activities that directly or indirectly cause harm to self. Thus, one must advance to his ripeness to become a mellow soul. Mellow souls often use self-control despite what problem the person may face.
We have challenges in our lives that cause us to go through change. The big, fat word change often terrifies many people. Yet, this heavy, large word becomes smaller when one learns to accept change.
Change can work in our favor. It takes us however to make change work for us. Acceptance is the key. Unlock this door and learn to accept and everything else will fall into place.
Irresponsibility leads to nowhere. Irresponsibility links to unreliable, inconsistency et cetera. Take an example where a woman spends countless of hour’s text messaging people on her phone over the Internet. The woman is desperately looking for a soul mate, yet her thinking is that her soul mate must be a good lover. Therefore, she searches, searches, and continues to search, sleeping with every man that will give her time. Now, she is homeless, her children despise her, and she is at risk of losing her job. She would rather spend the time searching for that soul mate that she has conjured in her mind, the mate she wants him to be.
Look at this example. She lacks self-control and patients of course. She also has low self-esteem, otherwise she would not be engaging in this behavior. She lacks confidence. Instead of waiting for a soul mate, she would rather sleep with every man that gives her time. Her results, the men she had slept with ignore her when she calls.
NOTE: This example is a fictional example, which is not intended to harm anyone, rather to give insight of how behaviors make it harder to develop self-control.
This is almost ironically funny. Despite we are taught not to talk to strangers, we have to talk to strangers every single day of our life. This brings us to see that self-control is gained by examining our learning, knowledge, experiences and mind. Obviously, the woman in the example failed to heed the warning of talking to strangers. What this behavior will lead to, is self-defeat, ultimately a quicker death.
We all have responsibilities. By accepting your responsibilities, you become a trustworthy person, which many people will like. Still, you must learn to accept change, rid self of infantile ways, and move to action for cultivating self-control.
